Apprentice Electrician

*Job Summary* McNelly Services, Inc. is seeking an Apprentice Electrician to assist electricians with commercial electrical service, maintenance, repairs, and installation work for retail, commercial, and light industrial properties. This position is ideal for an apprentice with hands-on electrical experience who is looking to continue developing field skills and progress toward electrical licensure. *Responsibilities and Duties:* * Assist with commercial electrical service, maintenance, repairs, and installations * Assist with troubleshooting electrical and lighting issues in the field * Work with panels, conduit and wiring, lighting systems, tenant buildouts, and service repairs and upgrades * Perform routine and preventive maintenance * Review and complete electronic work orders using a smartphone * Document work performed and materials used * Maintain and restock assigned vehicle inventory as required * Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours service calls as needed * Perform additional job-related duties as assigned *Qualifications and Skills:* * Experience working as an apprentice electrician would be preferred * Basic understanding of electrical theory and electrical systems * Commercial, retail, or light industrial electrical experience preferred * Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a senior electrician * Experience with lighting systems and controls preferred * Ability to obtain and maintain a valid electrical license within 3 years of employment * Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required, as the position requires regular travel to customer locations and operation of a company vehicle *Physical Requirements:* * Ability to operate scissor lifts and other job-related equipment * Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs. * Ability to climb ladders, crouch, kneel, and crawl * Ability to stand for extended periods, including up to 8 hours * Ability to perform work overhead * Comfortable working at heights up to 60 feet and outdoors in various weather conditions *Position Benefits & Perks:* * Company-provided iPhone * Company-provided tools and equipment * Company-provided apparel and PPE * Company-paid training, certifications and continuing education * Overtime opportunities * On-call bonuses and port-to-port pay for after-hours emergency calls * Incentive and performance bonus opportunities * Immediate holiday pay *Full-Time Employee Benefits:* * Medical insurance – McNelly pays at least 75% of employee and dependent premiums * Employer-administered dental insurance * Employer-administered vision insurance * Employer-paid life insurance * Employer-paid long-term disability insurance * Voluntary short-term disability insurance available for employee purchase * Voluntary accident insurance available for employee purchase * Additional voluntary life insurance available for employee purchase * Paid Time Off (PTO) * Employer-matched 401(k) * Potential profit-sharing opportunities * Parental leave * Employee referral program Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Parental leave * Referral program * Retirement plan * Safety equipment provided * Vision insurance Application Question(s): * Please provide your availability for an interview over the next two weeks, including the days and times that work best for you Experience: * apprentice electrician: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: * driver's license (Required) Work Location: In person
