Apprentice Mechanic

*Overview* Start your career as an Apprentice Mechanic and build practical skills while helping keep vehicles safe, reliable, and ready to work. You’ll support experienced mechanics with inspections, maintenance, and repairs across automotive and diesel. This is a paid apprenticeship with hands-on work and opportunities to learn on the job. *Duties* * Assist with vehicle maintenance, equipment maintenance, and mechanical systems repair using hand and power tools. * Help diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, air brakes, suspension, shocks and struts, alignment, hydraulics, heating and air conditioning (HVAC), and automotive electrical systems. * Follow safe work practices, including when performing heavy lifting; provide helpful customer service. Your impact: Careful inspections and dependable repairs help drivers and equipment operators work safely and keep essential vehicles and machinery in service. *Experience* * Mechanical knowledge and interest in developing mechanic experience; dealership experience is helpful, not required. * Exposure to automotive repair, diesel mechanics, heavy truck repair, vehicle systems, or vehicle mechanics for truck drivers is a plus. * Electrical experience, equipment repair, maintenance, or heavy equipment operation is preferred. * Ability to use tools safely, follow instructions, and learn repair procedures with guidance.
