Mr. Handyman of Richmond is hiring dependable apprentices to work side by side with our experienced technicians on home and light commercial repair, maintenance and remodeling jobs. We train you, pay you while you learn, and give you a clear path to Carpentry Handyman. WHY YOU'LL WANT TO JOIN US • $22/hr starting pay. Paid training from day one. • Learn carpentry, drywall, painting, tile, plumbing and electrical from pros. • A clear path up to Carpentry Handyman. • Steady, year-round work, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. • Tools and equipment provided or reimbursed. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Help technicians with carpentry, drywall, painting, tile, and basic plumbing and electrical work. • Load and unload tools and materials; do light demo, prep and cleanup. • Keep tools and job sites clean, organized and safe. • Record time and materials as directed. • Show up on time and be respectful and professional in customers' homes. WHAT YOU NEED • 0–2 years in construction, handyman work, general labor or similar; basic hand and power tool know-how. • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record. • Dependable, and able to follow instructions. • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or kneel for long periods, indoors and out, with or without reasonable accommodation. • A plus: OSHA 10, drywall, painting or light plumbing/electrical experience. SCHEDULE: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM; stable, year-round work. PAY: $22/hr starting pay, with a path to Carpentry Handyman.
