*Now Hiring: Carpenter Helper / Crew Member (Immediate Opening)* *Company:* Iron Horse Carpentry LLC *Location:* Based out of Auburn, ME (Jobsites within a 2-hour radius across Central & Southern Maine) *Position Type:* Full-Time (40 hours/week, standard daytime hours) *Pay Rate:* $25.00+/hour (DOE) *About the Role* Iron Horse Carpentry is seeking a dependable, self-motivated *Carpenter Helper* to join our fast-paced production crew immediately. We manage active residential and commercial building projects—from rough framing to fine interior finish work. If you have on-site experience, move with urgency, and take pride in quality craftsmanship, this is a solid, full-time opportunity with room to grow. *Responsibilities* * *Production Crew Support:* Keep pace with daily project targets on active residential framing and commercial builds. * *Framing & Finish Assistance:* Assist lead carpenters with layout, framing, sheathing, trim work, window/door installations, and material staging. * *Prep & Cutting:* Accurately measure, mark, and cut lumber and building components with standard jobsite power tools. * *Site Management:* Maintain active jobsite cleanliness, stage materials ahead of the build, and strictly adhere to OSHA/jobsite safety practices. *Requirements* * *Experience:* Minimum *1+ years* of hands-on carpentry or framing/construction site experience. * *Transportation:* Must possess a valid driver’s license and your own dependable vehicle to travel daily to jobsites across a 2-hour radius of Auburn, ME. * *Tools:* Must have a personal tool belt fully stocked with everyday hand tools (e.g., 25′ tape measure, hammer, speed square, utility knife, chalk box, pencils). * *Pace & Stamina:* Accustomed to high-tempo production framing/building; ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders/scaffolding, and work outdoors in all Maine seasons. * *Reliability:* Consistent attendance, punctual arrivals, and clear communication. *How to Apply* Immediate hire—ready to start right away.
