Commercial Apprentice Electrician / Electrical Technician

*Job Summary* About Tann Electric Tann Electric is a growing *commercial electrical contractor* based in the Kansas City Northland. Our work focuses primarily on *commercial tenant improvement (TI) projects, remodels, lighting upgrades, and power installations*. We are looking for a *reliable apprentice-level electrician* who wants to build a long-term career in the electrical trade while gaining real hands-on experience in commercial electrical work. This position works *alongside experienced electricians on commercial projects*. You will not be sent out alone on service calls. The goal is to develop strong installation skills and grow within the company. Responsibilities * Assist electricians with *commercial electrical installations* * Support *tenant improvement (TI) and remodel projects* * Install conduit, boxes, wiring, switches, and receptacles * Pull wire and assist with rough-in and trim work * Assist with lighting installation and circuit runs * Help with layout and basic plan reading * Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites Minimum Requirements * *Electrical trade school OR at least 1 year of electrical field experience* * Basic familiarity with electrical tools and materials * Reliable transportation to job sites in the Kansas City area * Strong work ethic and willingness to learn * Ability to work on ladders and lift 50 lbs *Applicants without electrical schooling or field experience will not be considered.* Preferred Qualifications * Experience with *commercial electrical work* * Basic conduit bending * Ability to read electrical plans * Experience with remodel or tenant improvement projects What We Offer * $20 – $25/hour depending on experience * Sign on bonus!! * Steady commercial project work * Hands-on experience installing commercial electrical systems * Opportunity to grow into *lead electrician or foreman roles* * Small professional team where your work is valued Who This Job Is Ideal For Someone who has *trade school or early electrical experience* and wants to continue developing their skills working on commercial projects with an experienced crew.
