Commercial Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Helper

In this energized role, you will assist experienced HVAC technicians in installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of mechanical systems that keep buildings comfortable and efficient. Whether you're just starting out or looking to expand your skills in the HVAC industry, this role provides a supportive environment to grow your expertise and make a tangible impact. *Duties* * Assist HVAC technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. * Support the setup and troubleshooting of HVAC equipment using schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams. * Help with plumbing connections and ensure proper functioning of water supply lines related to HVAC systems. * Use hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, ohmmeters, and other mechanical tools to perform routine tasks under supervision. * Aid in diagnosing electrical issues by performing electrical diagnostics and equipment troubleshooting. * Assist with system inspections to identify potential issues with HVAC units and mechanical systems before they escalate. * Support the safe handling of refrigerants in compliance with EPA regulations and assist with system recharges or repairs as needed. * Help load and unload equipment using a van or truck driver responsibilities when required. * Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, and parts used for each job. * Follow safety protocols diligently during all tasks to ensure a secure working environment. *Skills* * Basic construction experience with familiarity in mechanical systems installation or repair. * Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and building automation system diagrams a plus. * Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC design, boiler operation, air conditioning units, and plumbing systems a plus. * Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment. * Knowledge of HVAC systems repair and maintenance procedures a plus. * Customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about service needs or system issues. * Certifications in HVAC are a plus. * Mechanical aptitude combined with a proactive approach to equipment troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
