Construction Laborer / Remodeling Helper $18–$25/hour | Full-time | 3 openings | San Antonio residential remodeling Position Summary Walker Homes & Remodeling is hiring at multiple experience levels for residential remodeling field work. We have two Construction Laborer – Demo & Cleanup openings and one Experienced Remodeling Helper / Carpenter Helper opening. Candidates may be considered for the track that best matches their demonstrated experience and ability. Openings & Pay * 2 Construction Laborer – Demo & Cleanup openings: $18–$21/hour; construction experience is preferred but not required. * 1 Experienced Remodeling Helper / Carpenter Helper opening: $21–$25/hour; meaningful prior construction or remodeling experience is required. Pay depends on the position and demonstrated experience; the full $18–$25 range does not apply to every applicant. Responsibilities * Assist with residential demolition, debris removal, and material handling * Protect floors, cabinets, doors, and finished surfaces * Sweep, vacuum, clean, organize, load, unload, and maintain work areas * Assist experienced construction workers and follow jobsite instructions * Experienced Helper candidates may also assist with trim, doors, cabinets, small framing, drywall repairs, measuring/cutting, hardware, punch work, and general residential repairs What We Are Looking For * Dependable, punctual, and comfortable performing physical work * Able to follow directions and remain productive without constant reminders * Willing to perform cleanup and material handling as part of the job * Careful with customers' homes, property, and finished surfaces * A reliable vehicle is mandatory; employees report directly to changing jobsites throughout the San Antonio area * Public transportation does not satisfy the vehicle requirement * A truck or vehicle capable of hauling materials and tools is a big plus, not a requirement * Laborer track: construction experience is not required; reliability, work ethic, and willingness to learn matter * Experienced Helper track: meaningful prior residential construction/remodeling experience and safe use of common tools are required Compensation & Benefits * $18–$25/hour depending on the position and demonstrated experience and ability * Health insurance and company gas card * Overtime opportunities available * Drive directly to assigned jobsites About Walker Homes & Remodeling Residential remodeling company working on whole-home remodels, additions, kitchens, bathrooms, repairs, and related residential construction.
