We provide the training and opportunities to grow.* *Job Responsibilities* As an Entry-Level Construction Laborer, you will assist our experienced carpenters with various residential construction projects, including: * Installing and replacing residential siding * Building and installing decks and deck framing * Installing residential fencing * Assisting with window and door installations * Measuring, cutting, and preparing construction materials * Loading, unloading, and organizing tools and materials * Operating hand tools and power tools after proper training * Maintaining clean, organized, and safe job sites * Learning proper construction techniques and installation methods * Assisting crew leaders and experienced carpenters with daily tasks *Job Requirements* * *No prior construction experience required* * Must have a valid driver’s license * Must have reliable transportation to and from work * Must be able to lift, pick up, and carry at least 75 pounds * Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions * Must be comfortable working on ladders and at heights while following safety procedures * Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to learn * Must be able to follow instructions and work well with a team * Must take pride in producing quality work *Work Schedule* * *Monday – Friday* * Typical Start Time: 7:00–7:30 AM * Typical End Time: 4:30–6:30 PM * Approximately 35–50 hours per week, depending on workload and weather * One-hour unpaid lunch break * Weekend work is generally not required *What We’re Looking For* We’re not necessarily looking for someone who already knows how to build a deck or install siding. *We’re looking for someone who:* * Shows up on time and is ready to work * Takes initiative instead of waiting to be told what to do * Wants to learn a valuable trade * Takes pride in their work * Has a good attitude and works well with others * Wants to develop skills and earn more money over time *Why Work at Westside Construction?* At Westside Construction, we believe that hard work, craftsmanship, and dedication should be rewarded.
