Diesel Engine Field Mechanic (Entry Level)

*Overview* As an entry-level Diesel Engine Field Mechanic, you’ll help keep diesel engines, generators, and other equipment operating reliably. You’ll travel to service locations, inspect equipment, identify issues, and complete repairs with guidance as needed. This hands-on role is a chance to apply mechanical knowledge, build field service skills, and support customers who depend on working equipment. *Duties* * Inspect, maintain, and repair diesel engines, generators, and related power generation systems. * Troubleshoot equipment and mechanical systems; use schematics and electrical diagnostics to help identify faults. * Perform engine repair, electrical work, automotive repair, small engine maintenance, and other equipment repair tasks. * Use hand tools and power tools safely; complete vehicle maintenance and document work performed. * Communicate with customers about equipment condition, service needs, and completed work. *Your impact:* Timely, careful repairs help customers restore equipment function and keep essential work moving. *Qualifications* * Mechanical knowledge and interest in diesel engine repair, equipment maintenance, and mechanical systems repair. * Mechanic experience is required; entry-level applicants with relevant engine repair or equipment troubleshooting experience are encouraged to apply. * Electrical experience, including electrical diagnostics, and the ability to read schematics are preferred. * Comfortable with manual handling and heavy lifting, and able to use hand tools and power tools safely. * Customer service skills and a commitment to clear communication, safe work practices, and dependable field support.
