Position Overview Artizan Electric is looking for a motivated, dependable *Electrical Apprentice* to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who is interested in developing their electrical skills, gaining hands-on experience, and building a long-term career in the electrical industry. As an Electrical Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced electricians to assist with residential electrical service calls, installations, repairs, and upgrades. You’ll have the opportunity to learn proper troubleshooting techniques, electrical code requirements, and safe work practices while developing the skills needed to advance in the trade. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong willingness to learn, and understands the importance of safety, teamwork, and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities * *Electrical Installations:* Assist with installing wiring, outlets, switches, lighting, electrical panels, and other residential electrical components. * *Service & Repairs:* Support experienced electricians with troubleshooting electrical issues, completing repairs, and performing system upgrades. * *Hands-On Learning:* Develop electrical skills through on-the-job training, instruction, and collaboration with experienced team members. * *Safety & Code Compliance:* Follow established safety procedures, use tools and equipment properly, and learn to perform work in accordance with applicable electrical codes and regulations. * *Tools & Materials:* Maintain tools, organize materials, and help ensure the service vehicle is properly stocked for daily jobs. * *Customer Service:* Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers while working in their homes. * *Teamwork:* Work closely with journeyman electricians and other team members to complete jobs efficiently and to company standards. * *Jobsite Organization:* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. * *Professional Development:* Continue learning electrical theory, installation methods, troubleshooting techniques, and industry best practices. Qualifications * *Experience:* Previous electrical experience or enrollment in an electrical apprenticeship program is preferred but not required. * *Willingness to Learn:* Eager to develop electrical skills, accept instruction, and take on new responsibilities. * *Mechanical Aptitude:* Comfortable working with tools, equipment, and hands-on tasks. * *Attention to Detail:* Able to follow instructions, work carefully, and take pride in quality workmanship. * *Safety Mindset:* Understand the importance of following safety procedures and working responsibly around electrical systems. * *Communication Skills:* Able to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers. * *Dependability:* Reliable, punctual, motivated, and willing to work as part of a team. * *Valid Driver’s License:* Required, with a clean driving record preferred. * *Physical Requirements:* Able to perform the physical duties of the job, including standing, climbing ladders, lifting materials, and working in various residential jobsite conditions.
