We offer on the Job training as well as help to secure journeymans license. *Responsibilities* * Assist with the installation of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems * Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans to ensure precise system setup * Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment, including mechanical systems repair and electrical diagnostics * Troubleshoot issues with HVAC system repair using hand tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify faults quickly and accurately * Support service technicians in diagnosing complex electrical systems, plumbing connections, and refrigeration components * Conduct equipment troubleshooting for HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems to ensure optimal performance * Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including service reports and system diagnostics for customer records * Ensure all work complies with safety standards such as EPA regulations for refrigerants and ammonia refrigeration handling * Provide excellent customer service by explaining system operations and maintenance procedures clearly to clients * Assist with property maintenance tasks related to mechanical systems to support overall building operations *Experience* * Construction experience or background in mechanical systems installation is highly desirable< but not necessary for helper position. * Prior service technician experience working with HVAC systems or related mechanical equipment preferred * Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, or HVAC design plans is a plus * Hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical diagnostics, or appliance repair enhances your candidacy * Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC system repair and installation is essential for success in this role * Experience using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, voltmeters, ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools required * Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS), electrical systems, boiler operation or ammonia refrigeration is advantageous * Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred for van driving responsibilities * Strong customer service skills combined with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality workmanship This paid position welcomes motivated individuals eager to grow their expertise in the fast-paced world of HVAC.
