Heavy Duty Entry Level Diesel Technician

Forge Truck Centers currently has an opening for a Heavy Duty Truck General Labor Technician position. This position works inside as well as outside all year round; applicants must be willing to work outside year-round. *Essential Duties & Responsibilities* * Responsible for Loading and Unloading Truck Inventory * Complete minor truck repairs * Perform tire changes * Maintain tools and equipment in proper working conditions * Complete general yard maintenance e.g moving trailers * Ensure all work meets company quality and safety standards * Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment * Perform other duties as assigned *Minimum Requirements* * High School Diploma or GED * Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership * 1 or more years of experience in heavy-duty trucks * Drivers License is required * Ability to drive a manual transmission is required * Provide own hand tools *Preferred Qualifications * * CDL License preferred *Core Competencies* * Accountability and attention to detail * Strong communication * Team-oriented mindset * Adaptability in a fast-paced environment * Commitment to continuous learning *Physical Requirements & Work Environment* * Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and work on feet for extended periods * Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. * Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and varying temperatures * Ability to perform repetitive mechanical tasks and operate shop equipment * Ability to perform all physically demanding tasks in all outdoor weather conditions year-round *Compensation & Benefits* * $20.00 – $24.00 per hour (based on experience) * Overtime available based on business needs * Uniforms provided * Specialty tools provided * 401(k) with company match * Dental insurance * Medical insurance * Vision insurance * Voluntary Life Insurance * PTO Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-4:30PM, and Saturdays, 6:00AM-11:00AM, as business requires Work Location: In person Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Application Question(s): * Do you know how to drive a manual transmission?
