HVAC Apprentice

*Job Summary* We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HVAC Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in the HVAC industry, providing opportunities to develop technical skills and knowledge in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, possess a strong work ethic, and have a foundational understanding of construction and property maintenance. This paid apprenticeship is designed to prepare individuals for a successful career as a service technician or HVAC mechanic. *Duties* * Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment * Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams for system troubleshooting and assembly * Support service technicians in diagnosing issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment * Perform basic plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems and property maintenance * Aid in the repair of appliances and mechanical components, including welding and equipment repair as needed * Contribute to the maintenance of HVAC/R systems and other mechanical systems * Participate in field service activities including system inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on-site * Follow safety protocols including proper handling of refrigerants * Assist with equipment repair, welding, and general maintenance tasks under supervision *Experience* * Construction or property maintenance experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided * Service technician experience or familiarity with HVAC design, schematics, or mechanical knowledge is advantageous * Knowledge of refrigeration systems, HVAC/R equipment, boiler operation, or appliance repair is beneficial * Mechanical experience or background in field service operations will support success in this role * A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred for field-related tasks This position offers valuable on-the-job training for individuals interested in building a career within the HVAC industry.
