HVAC Service Apprentice

Description Minuteman Plumbing, Heating & Cooling is a growing, veteran-owned residential service company serving Hingham and the South Shore. We're hiring an HVAC Service Apprentice to ride with our senior service technicians on residential heating and cooling service and maintenance calls. No experience is required, just a real interest in the trade and a willingness to be trained. We pay for your schooling, and there's a clear path to running your own calls. Key Responsibilities • Ride along with senior technicians on residential HVAC service, maintenance, and repair calls • Assist with tune-ups and maintenance on furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, and heat pumps • Learn to troubleshoot and diagnose heating and cooling systems under supervision • Keep the service truck stocked, organized, and ready for the day • Treat every home with respect: shoe covers on, work area left clean • Communicate clearly and courteously with homeowners and your lead technician • Follow all safety protocols and grow into running service calls on your own Skills, Knowledge & Expertise • Must live in our South Shore service area (Hingham, Quincy, Weymouth, Braintree, Marshfield and surrounding towns) • No experience required; hands-on tool, mechanical, or trade experience is a plus • Mechanically inclined and eager to learn diagnostics and troubleshooting • Coachable and committed to being trained into a licensed technician • Friendly, professional presence with homeowners • Comfortable working in attics, basements, and crawlspaces, on ladders, and in heat and cold • EPA 608 a plus; we'll help you earn it • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen Benefits • Pay for apprenticeship schooling toward your license • Health and Dental Insurance • 401(k) Retirement with Company Match • Paid Time Off • Tools and Truck support • Paid Training and a clear path to journeyman About Minuteman Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Minuteman Plumbing, Heating & Cooling isn’t just about fixing pipes: we’re a locally owned, people‑first team.
