The Apprentice Plumber will work under the guidance of experienced plumbers, gaining hands-on experience in various plumbing tasks and techniques. This role involves working on construction sites and assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems. *Duties* * Assist skilled plumbers in installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings. * Learn to read and interpret schematics and blueprints to understand plumbing layouts. * Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks. * Help assemble plumbing fixtures, pipes, and fittings according to specifications. * Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential issues or leaks. * Support the team in ensuring that all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations. * Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites. *Skills* * Basic understanding of construction plumbing principles is preferred. * Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in plumbing tasks. * Ability to read schematics and blueprints effectively. * Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn from experienced professionals. * Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material requirements. * A background or experience as a maintenance person or carpenter is a plus but not required. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
