Marine Mechanic's Helper - Gas & Diesel Engines

Admiralty Marine is a Volvo Penta dealer that has been servicing marine gasoline and diesel engines and drives in San Diego since 1968. We are hiring a full-time Mechanic's Helper to work alongside our technicians on yachts and work boats at marinas and boatyards around San Diego Bay and Mission Bay, and in our shop. *Schedule:* Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM *Pay:* $28.00 - $32.00 per hour, depending on experience *Benefits:* health insurance, paid time off, and 401(k) *What you'll do* * Assist technicians with service and repair of marine gasoline and diesel engines, sterndrives and IPS drives * Oil and filter changes, impellers, anodes, bellows and fluid service * Pull and stage parts, load and unload the service truck, keep tools and the shop organized * Clean engine rooms and work areas before and after jobs * Learn diagnostics and repair on Volvo Penta engines and drives *What we're looking for* * Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn * Comfortable working in tight engine rooms and on boats in the water and on the hard * Reliable, on time and a team player * Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record * Ability to lift 50 lbs * Marine, automotive or diesel experience is a plus, but not required *To apply:* send your resume or a short note about your experience, and the best phone number to reach you.
