Prepares for entry-level employment as a pipefitter helper or apprentice. Tuition: $2,530. Payment plan is available. Scholarship assistance available to those who qualify. Schedule: Monday - Thursday. 6 PM - 9 PM. What You’ll Learn * *Shop safety and PPE* — safe work practices, hazard awareness, and proper use of protective equipment * *Pipefitting tools and equipment* — safe, correct use of the hand and power tools used in the trade * *Pipe materials and fittings* — identifying common pipe types, fittings, valves, and their applications * *Measuring, cutting, and threading* — accurate layout and preparation of pipe to specification * *Pipe joining methods* — techniques for assembling and securing pipe systems Requirements * 18 years or older * High School Diploma or GED * Ability to attend evening classes consistently * Interest in hands-on work * Social Security Number Pay: $0.10 - $1.00 per hour Expected hours: 12.0 per week Work Location: In person
