Plumber Helper

*Overview* As a Plumber Helper, you’ll support plumbers with construction, installation, maintenance, and repair work across job sites. You’ll prepare materials, use tools safely, and help keep projects moving while following safety procedures and applicable building codes. Your impact: By helping install and maintain plumbing systems correctly, you support safe, reliable water service for building occupants and customers. *Responsibilities* * Assist with pipe installation, pipe threading, plumbing system maintenance, and repairs. * Gather and prepare materials; operate hand tools and power tools while following power tool safety practices. * Read blueprints and interpret technical drawings to help locate pipes and understand installation plans. * Support construction plumbing, remodeling, and general maintenance tasks; assist with welding when needed. * Keep work areas organized, follow site safety protocols, and provide courteous customer service when interacting with clients. *Qualifications* * Construction experience or construction site experience is helpful; plumbing, handyman, remodeling, or maintenance experience is also valued. * Basic mechanical knowledge and basic math skills to measure, prepare materials, and assist with installations. * Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely; familiarity with pipe threading is a plus. * Blueprint reading or experience interpreting technical drawings is preferred. * Awareness of plumbing practices and building code compliance is beneficial; willingness to follow instructions and safety protocols is essential.
