Plumbing Apprentice / Helper

*Company:* GCP Plumbing & Piping Solutions *Title:* Plumbing Apprentice/Helper *Location:* Kentucky *Position type:* Full-time, hourly *Reports to:* Master Plumber *About the role* GCP Plumbing & Piping Solutions is looking for a dependable plumbing apprentice to learn the trade while helping our team serve local customers. You will work under the personal supervision of a Kentucky-licensed master or journeyman plumber, build hands-on skills, and help deliver clean water, safe sanitation, and quality service. This is an entry-level opportunity; prior plumbing experience is welcome but not required. *What you’ll do* * Assist the supervising plumber with residential and light commercial service, repair, and installation work as assigned. * Gather tools and materials, prepare work areas, measure and cut materials, and help with installations and repairs under supervision. * Help diagnose issues by observing, asking questions, and following the licensed plumber’s direction. * Keep the work van, tools, and job sites clean, organized, and stocked. * Use tools and protective equipment properly; follow company safety practices and applicable plumbing code requirements. * Treat customers and their property with respect, explain your role honestly, and communicate clearly with the team. * Document work, materials, and training or experience as directed. * Perform other related duties within your training and legal scope. *What we’re looking for* * Willingness to learn, show up reliably, accept feedback, and work as part of a team. * Professional appearance, courteous customer service, and attention to detail. * Ability to perform active work at job sites, including standing, bending, kneeling, using ladders, and lifting (+/- 50lbs) and carrying tools or materials with appropriate assistance. * Ability to travel to job sites and maintain a valid driver’s license *if driving a company vehicle is part of the assignment*. * Plumbing, construction, mechanical, or trade-school experience is a plus, but not required. *Qualifications* * High school diploma or GED required * Demonstrates professionalism, dependability, integrity, and respect while working in customers’ homes and businesses. Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Work Location: In person
