Apprentice Electrician - Commercial

*Summary/Objective *The Electrician Helper provides support and assists to one or more skilled electricians. The Electrician Helper will also provide general work assisting the skilled electrician with basic tasks like keeping documentation and paperwork all related maintenance in applicable logs and maintaining good housekeeping practices. *Essential Functions* Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 1. Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit using measuring devices, hand tools, threaders and hand or mechanical benders. 2. Assists in switchgear installations and terminations. 3. Operates any hand tools and equipment necessary to perform all associated tasks. 4. Understands and instructs assigned helpers in the safe operation of tools, use of equipment, electrical principles, and applicable codes. 5. Performs other project related duties and assignments as instructed by supervisor. 6. Meets attendance standards and complies with late/absence notification procedures. 7. Ethical Capacity *Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.* *Work Environment* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
