Automotive Technician - Entry Level

*Job Summary* We are a family-owned auto repair shop seeking a reliable and motivated Automotive Technician to join our team. We are open to candidates with varying levels of experience—from entry-level individuals eager to learn to more experienced technicians who can perform general repairs independently. This is an opportunity to grow your skills in a supportive, team-oriented environment with hands-on training and real career advancement. *Duties* * Assist with routine vehicle maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, fluid services) * Support experienced technicians with diagnostics and repairs * Learn alignments and tire services under supervision * Use hand and power tools safely and effectively * Perform vehicle inspections and communicate findings to the team * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment * Provide friendly, professional customer interaction when needed * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment, including proper care of tools and equipment *Skills* * Prior automotive or dealership experience is a plus, not required * Strong interest in automotive repair and willingness to learn * Basic familiarity with tools and vehicle maintenance * Ability to perform physical work, including lifting and standing for extended periods * Team-oriented with a positive, reliable attitude * Willingness to follow safety procedures and shop standards *Preferred (Not Required)* * Ability to drive manual transmission * Own basic tools or willingness to begin building a set * Valid state inspection and emissions license (or willingness to obtain) *What Makes This Shop Different* * Family-owned, close-knit team (owner-operated) * Loyal, long-term customer base * Focus on quality work over volume * Supportive environment with hands-on training Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Benefits: * 401(k) matching * Opportunities for advancement * Paid time off * Paid training * Retirement plan Work Location: In person
