Carpenter Apprentice

*Overview* As a Carpenter Apprentice, you’ll build practical skills while supporting residential carpentry, remodeling, and restoration projects. You’ll work alongside experienced carpenters to read construction plans, prepare materials, and complete tasks safely and accurately. This is a paid position with hands-on work across framing, trim, installation, and repairs. *Responsibilities* * Assist with frame and trim carpentry, cabinet installation, door hanging, fixture installation, and assembly. * Read blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical drawings with guidance. * Measure, cut, and handle wood construction materials using hand tools, woodworking power tools, and woodworking machines. * Follow power tool safety practices, help maintain a clean work area, and assist with restoration tasks. Your impact: Careful preparation and safe, accurate work help crews complete quality repairs and create durable spaces for residents. *Skills* * Interest in carpentry and woodworking; construction, residential carpentry, construction site, restoration industry, or handyman experience is helpful but not required. * Basic ability to use hand tools and power tools, or willingness to learn their safe operation. * Willingness to learn blueprint reading, construction estimating, material handling, and installation techniques. * Able to perform heavy lifting and work on active construction sites. * Reliable, safety-minded, and ready to follow instructions while learning a range of building and repair methods.
