Carpenter/Helper

Westshore Construction is seeking a skilled and dependable Carpenter helper to join our growing team. If you are passionate about your trade, take pride in your workmanship, and want to be part of a company that values integrity, quality, and teamwork, we encourage you to apply. *Responsibilities* * Perform finish carpentry, including installation of doors, windows, trim, baseboards, crown molding, and cabinetry. * Complete framing, drywall installation, drywall finishing, texture matching, and drywall repairs. * Perform interior and exterior painting, including surface preparation and final touch-ups. * Install and repair flooring materials, including LVP, laminate, hardwood, tile, and carpet. * Complete siding repairs and other general construction tasks as required. * Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and project specifications. * Coordinate with project managers to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to company standards. * Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean and organized job site. * Communicate professionally with customers, subcontractors, and team members. * Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety requirements, and company policies. *Qualifications* * Minimum of 2 years of carpentry experience, with carpenter or supervisory experience preferred. * Proven experience in finish carpentry, framing, drywall installation and repair, texture matching, painting, flooring installation, siding repairs, and general residential construction. * Ability to install doors, windows, trim, baseboards, crown molding, cabinetry, and other finish components with a high level of craftsmanship. * Experience with drywall hanging, finishing, patching, and matching existing textures. * Knowledge of interior and exterior painting techniques, including proper surface preparation and finishing. * Experience installing and repairing flooring materials, including luxury vinyl plank (LVP), laminate, hardwood, tile, and carpet. * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and project specifications. * Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently and effectively. * Working knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices. * Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work. * *Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.* * *Must be able to pass a criminal background check.* Job Type: Full-time Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance License/Certification: * Driver's License (Required) Work Location: In person
