Carpenter's Helper

*Job Summary* As a Carpenter’s Helper, you’ll support carpenters and construction crews with hands-on work across residential projects. You’ll help prepare materials, read construction plans, operate tools safely, and keep work areas organized. This active role suits someone ready to build practical skills and contribute to quality work from framing through finishing. *Responsibilities* * Assist with carpentry, woodworking, frame carpentry, residential carpentry, and trim carpentry tasks. * Read blueprints and interpret technical drawings and construction plans to prepare materials and support accurate installation. * Measure, cut, assemble, and move wood construction materials; assist with fixture, cabinet, siding, flooring, and tile installation. * Support concrete forming, rebar installation, drywall, plastering, stucco, caulking, metal stud framing, masonry, and remodeling work as assigned. * Maintain a clean, safe site; use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines according to power tool safety practices. Your impact: Careful preparation and safe, accurate assistance help crews complete dependable work for homeowners. *Skills* * Essential: Construction experience or construction site experience; familiarity with carpentry, woodworking, hand tools, power tools, and safe material handling. * Ability to perform heavy lifting and follow instructions while working as part of a crew. * Preferred: Blueprint reading, construction estimating, and experience with residential or trim carpentry, assembly, or handyman work. * Additional preferred experience: Restoration industry work, mold remediation, cabinet installation, flooring installation, tile laying, concrete forming, rebar installation, drywall, plastering, stucco, caulking, siding, masonry, or metal stud framing.
