Carpenter's Helper

*Job Summary* We are seeking a motivated and dependable Carpenter's Helper to join our team. In this role, you will assist skilled carpenters in various residential and commercial projects, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and safely. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in carpentry and construction while contributing to high-quality building and renovation projects. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license a must. Our work area is Orange, Sullivan and Ulster Counties. *Duties* * Support carpenters by measuring, cutting, and preparing wood and other construction materials using hand tools and power tools for woodworking. * Assist with framing, drywall installation, siding, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, door hanging, painting and flooring installation. * Carry out heavy lifting of construction materials such as wood, rebar, drywall sheets, and siding components. * Maintain a clean work area by disposing of debris, organizing tools, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. *Skills* * *Proficiency with hand tools (saws, hammers, chisels) and power tools for woodworking (drills, saws).* * *Experience working with wood construction materials such as framing lumber, plywood, drywall, siding materials, and cabinetry components.* * *Any other construction related skills and knowledge a plus.* * *Familiarity with construction site safety practices including power tool safety.* * *Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining good physical condition for demanding tasks.* * *Previous experience in residential carpentry or general construction environments is highly desirable.* Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: * On-the-job training Work Location: On the road
