Minimum 2–3 Years of Hands-On Electrical Experience Required Job Type: Full-Time, Part-Time Work Location: On the road – Palm Beach County and surrounding areas Job Summary Blue Ridge Electric LLC is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and motivated Electrical Helper with at least 2–3 years of hands-on electrical experience to join our growing team. We specialize primarily in residential electrical service, troubleshooting, panel replacements, remodels, lighting installations, and electrical upgrades, with some commercial electrical work. We are looking for someone who already has a solid foundation in electrical work, understands basic installation methods, and can work efficiently alongside an experienced Journeyman Electrician. The ideal candidate takes pride in their workmanship, follows directions, pays attention to detail, and is eager to continue developing their electrical skills. This is not an entry-level position. Prior electrical field experience is required. Duties & Responsibilities * Assist Journeyman Electricians with residential and commercial electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs. * Assist with electrical panel replacements, service upgrades, breaker installations, and circuit modifications. * Install and replace receptacles, switches, GFCI devices, lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, and other electrical equipment. * Assist with troubleshooting electrical circuits and identifying electrical problems. * Run and secure NM cable, MC cable, conduit, and other approved wiring methods. * Install electrical boxes, devices, fixtures, and associated electrical materials. * Assist with installing dedicated circuits for appliances, EV chargers, and other electrical equipment. * Perform basic electrical testing using appropriate testing equipment under supervision. * Understand basic electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and installation instructions. * Identify common electrical materials, fittings, breakers, wire sizes, and equipment. * Follow NEC requirements, company procedures, and proper electrical safety practices. * Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites. * Properly organize and care for company tools, materials, and equipment. * Communicate effectively with Journeymen, supervisors, coworkers, and homeowners. * Follow instructions carefully while maintaining productivity and quality workmanship. Required Qualifications * Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on electrical experience. * Must own basic electrical hand tools and a cordless drill/impact driver. * Must have a valid driver’s license. * Must have reliable transportation and consistently arrive at work on time. * Experience performing residential electrical installations and repairs. * Basic understanding of electrical circuits, wiring methods, and electrical safety. * Familiarity with common residential electrical materials and equipment. * Ability to install receptacles, switches, lighting fixtures, and electrical boxes with minimal guidance. * Basic knowledge of electrical panels, breakers, and branch circuits. * Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and electrical testing equipment. * Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, and other confined or hot environments common in South Florida. * Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, and working overhead. * Ability to follow directions, stay productive, and work effectively as part of a team. * Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn. * Professional appearance, respectful attitude, and good communication skills. * Must be honest, dependable, and accountable for assigned responsibilities. Preferred Qualifications * Experience assisting with residential electrical panel replacements and service upgrades. * Experience with electrical troubleshooting and service calls. * Familiarity with current NEC requirements and safe installation practices. * Experience installing recessed lighting, LED lighting, ceiling fans, and dimming systems. * Experience bending and installing EMT conduit. * Ability to identify common electrical materials and select the correct tools for assigned tasks. * Experience working in occupied homes and communicating professionally with homeowners. * Ability to work independently on basic assigned tasks under appropriate supervision. * Interest in developing into a Lead Helper or Journeyman-level electrician.
