Entry-Level / Recent Graduate Machinist *Location:* Elmira, NY or West Chester / Brandywine, PA *Job Type:* Full-Time *Experience Level:* Entry Level / Recent Graduate Job Summary We are seeking an *Entry-Level Machinist / Recent Graduate* to join our manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone beginning their career in precision machining and CNC manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have completed a *machining, CNC programming, machine tool technology, manufacturing technology, or related technical program* and have a strong interest in developing hands-on skills in CNC machining and precision manufacturing. Training and mentorship will be provided to help the successful candidate develop their technical and machining capabilities. Responsibilities * Assist with the setup and operation of *CNC milling and/or turning machines*. * Learn to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. * Assist with CNC machine setup, tooling, workholding, and material preparation. * Learn and apply basic *G-code and M-code* programming. * Assist with CNC program adjustments and troubleshooting under supervision. * Use precision measuring tools such as *calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment*. * Inspect machined components to ensure they meet drawing and quality requirements. * Learn and apply *GD&T and precision measurement techniques*. * Assist experienced machinists and manufacturing engineers with production activities. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. * Follow established manufacturing, quality, and safety procedures. * Support continuous improvement and process improvement activities. * Learn proper tooling selection, speeds, feeds, and machining techniques. * Participate in training and development programs to advance CNC machining skills. * Support other manufacturing activities as assigned. Required Qualifications * Recent graduate or currently completing a program in: * CNC Machining * Machine Tool Technology * Manufacturing Technology * CNC Programming * Mechanical Manufacturing * Precision Machining * Or a related technical field * Basic understanding of CNC machining principles. * Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings or blueprints. * Basic understanding of measurement tools such as *calipers and micrometers*. * Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. * Good attention to detail and commitment to quality. * Strong problem-solving and communication skills. * Ability to work effectively in a hands-on manufacturing environment. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications * Internship, co-op, apprenticeship, or hands-on machining experience. * Basic experience with *CNC mills or CNC lathes*. * Knowledge of *G-code / M-code*. * Exposure to *CAD/CAM software* such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, or similar. * Basic knowledge of *GD&T*. * Experience with precision measuring equipment. * Experience with CNC machine setup or tooling. * Exposure to medical device, orthopedic, aerospace, automotive, or other precision manufacturing environments.
