Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Helper

*Overview* As a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Helper, you’ll support technicians as they install, maintain, and repair heating, cooling, and refrigeration equipment. You’ll prepare tools and materials, assist with system checks, and help keep work areas safe and organized. Your impact: By helping technicians complete reliable HVAC work, you support comfortable, functional spaces for customers and building occupants. *Duties* * Assist with HVAC system installation, maintenance, and repair, including air conditioning, boilers, and refrigeration equipment. * Gather and use hand tools; help read schematics and identify components in mechanical and electrical systems. * Support equipment troubleshooting and basic electrical diagnostics using tools such as an ohmmeter, under technician direction. * Help with plumbing, welding, appliance repair, and property maintenance tasks as assigned. * Provide courteous customer service and assist field service teams at job sites. *Experience* * Construction experience, mechanical knowledge, or mechanic experience is helpful; service technician, equipment repair, or maintenance experience is a plus. * Familiarity with HVAC/R (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration), HVAC design, building automation systems, electrical systems, mechanical systems repair, or HVAC system repair is beneficial. * Exposure to EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) requirements, ammonia refrigeration, or van driving is a plus; these are not required for every assignment. * Bring a safety-minded approach, willingness to learn, and readiness to support technicians with varied hands-on tasks. Pay: $12.50 - $30.50 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 – 50.0 per week Work Location: In person
