We are seeking an *experienced HVAC Apprentice with a minimum of three years of hands-on HVAC experience* to join our growing team. This is not an entry-level opportunity. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in HVAC installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is committed to advancing their technical skills while working alongside experienced journeymen. *What You'll Do* * Assist with service and/or installation of commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, controls, and mechanical equipment. * Support HVAC system layout, assembly, installation, startup, and commissioning. * Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and control system issues. * Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs under appropriate supervision. * Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. * Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and related equipment. * Follow applicable mechanical codes, jobsite safety requirements, and company procedures. * Coordinate with journeymen, foremen, and other trades to maintain project quality and productivity. * Participate in required apprenticeship training and continued technical development. *Required Qualifications* * *Minimum three years of verifiable, hands-on HVAC experience*, including installation, service, maintenance, or related mechanical work. * High school diploma or equivalent. * Currently enrolled in, or eligible to enroll in, an applicable Washington State-approved HVAC or mechanical apprenticeship program. * Working knowledge of HVAC equipment, components, installation practices, and basic troubleshooting. * Experience using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely. * Ability to read or develop proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and blueprints. * Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving standards for duties requiring vehicle operation. * Ability to work safely and effectively in commercial and industrial construction environments. *Preferred Qualifications* * Previous commercial or industrial HVAC experience. * Experience working on construction projects alongside licensed journeymen. * Familiarity with HVAC controls, system startup, and preventive maintenance. * Demonstrated progress toward completion of an approved apprenticeship program. *Work Environment and Physical Requirements* This position involves fieldwork at commercial and industrial construction sites. Essential duties include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, working at heights, and working in confined spaces or varying weather conditions. Employees may be required to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, with assistance available for heavier loads. Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Work schedules may vary depending on project requirements and may include overtime. *Compensation and Benefits* *Hourly Pay: $29.21–$45.75*, or the applicable union wage scale. Actual compensation will depend on verified experience, apprenticeship classification, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and required wage progression.
