Plumbing Apprentice / Plumber's Helper

*Job Description* Navesink Plumbing & Heating is hiring a Plumbing Apprentice / Plumber's Helper to assist with residential and commercial plumbing installations, repairs, and service work. The ideal candidate is reliable, hardworking, and interested in learning the trade. Applicants should have hands-on experience and a working knowledge of hand and power tools, be able to take direction, and take a proactive approach to supporting the crew. We’re looking for individuals who are eager to learn from experienced technicians and improve their skills. *Experience Preferred*: 1-3 years *Responsibilities* * Assist plumbers with residential and commercial installations, repairs, and service calls * Assist with the installation of piping, fixtures, water heaters, boilers, and related equipment * Measure, cut, assemble, and prepare piping and materials * Assist with drain cleaning, sewer repairs, and excavation work * Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and materials * Perform demolition, job-site preparation, and cleanup * Maintain clean, organized work areas and company vehicles *Qualifications* * Hands-on experience and working knowledge of hand and power tools * Reliable, punctual, and hardworking * Ability to follow directions and work proactively as part of a crew * Willingness to learn and develop trade skills * Ability to perform physically demanding work * Professional and respectful with customers * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record *Benefits* * Competitive salary based on experience * Health insurance after 3 months (60% company paid premium) * Accrual of NJ sick time * Unpaid personal days * 40 hours/week (may include Saturdays; no Sundays) * 5 paid holidays: Christmas, NYD, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Memorial Day * 1 week paid vacation after 1 year of employment Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.00 - $26.00 per hour Benefits: * Health insurance Experience: * plumbing apprentice: 1 year (Required) Work Location: On the road
