Sheet Metal Apprentice

*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Sheet Metal Apprentice to join our team. This is a field-based apprenticeship position designed to provide hands-on training and practical experience in sheet metal work. The role is not a shop position; instead, it involves working directly in the field under the supervision of experienced professionals. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, safety-conscious, and committed to developing their skills in sheet metal fabrication and installation. *Duties* * Assist experienced sheet metal workers in installing, repairing, and maintaining ductwork, HVAC systems, and other sheet metal components on-site. * Learn to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications relevant to field installations. * Support the measurement, cutting, bending, and fitting of sheet metal materials as directed. * Participate in site setup, material handling, and ensuring work areas are safe and organized. * Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. * Gain knowledge of tools, equipment, and techniques used in field sheet metal work through on-the-job training. * Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and accurately. *Requirements* * High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training related to construction or metalwork is a plus. * Strong interest in pursuing a career in sheet metal work or HVAC installation. * Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and physically capable of lifting heavy materials. * Good communication skills and a willingness to learn from experienced tradespeople. * Safety-minded attitude with an understanding of the importance of following safety guidelines on-site. * Reliable transportation to job sites as this is a field-based position.
