Aluminum Jig Welder / Fabricator - Entry Level

*Overview* S&F Fabrication and Design is growing, and we're hiring Aluminum Jig Welder/Fabricators. This is the position where everyone in our shop starts. You'll MIG weld aluminum parts in jigs and fixtures while learning how our shop runs, how our products are built, and what quality looks like here. We promote from within. As you learn, you'll move into more advanced fabrication work, take on more complex projects, and pick up new skills and equipment. If you want a career in fabrication and not just a job, this is the place to start. *Schedule* Full-time, Monday through Thursday, 10-hour shifts (4-day work week). *What You'll Do* * Load, clamp and fit aluminum parts into welding jigs and fixtures * MIG weld aluminum (spool gun/push-pull) to our quality standards * Read blueprints, shop drawings and work orders * Check parts with tape measures, calipers and squares * Prep material: cut, deburr, clean and grind before and after welding * Inspect your work and fix defects * Follow shop safety rules and keep a clean work area *What We're Looking For* * Some MIG welding experience (school, trade program or on the job counts) * Willing to learn and take direction * Basic shop math and comfort with measuring tools * Able to use grinders, saws and other hand and power tools safely * Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs * Reliable, on time and a team player *Pluses (Not Required)* * Aluminum welding experience * TIG welding experience * Jig/fixture or production welding experience * Forklift, sheet metal or press brake experience *Room to Grow* This job is the first step.
