Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Helper

*Job Overview* As a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Helper, you’ll support technicians with installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) equipment. You’ll use hand tools, follow schematics, and help troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems while building practical skills across a range of equipment. This hands-on role is a strong fit for someone who works safely, learns quickly, and enjoys helping customers. *Responsibilities* * Assist with HVAC system installation, maintenance, and repair, including air conditioning, boilers, and refrigeration equipment. * Help diagnose equipment issues using basic electrical diagnostics, an ohmmeter, and other appropriate tools under technician guidance. * Support mechanical systems repair, plumbing tasks, and equipment troubleshooting; follow schematics and applicable safety procedures. * Help technicians work on building automation systems and, where applicable, ammonia refrigeration systems. * Communicate professionally with customers and support service technicians on job-site tasks. *Experience* * Construction experience, mechanical knowledge, or experience with hand tools is helpful; service technician experience is a plus. * Familiarity with HVAC design, electrical systems, equipment repair, or HVAC system repair is preferred, not required. * Exposure to refrigeration, HVAC/R, maintenance, or plumbing is beneficial. * EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) certification is a plus; a valid driver’s license and ability to drive a van may be needed for assigned duties. Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour Willingness to travel: * 75% (Preferred) Work Location: In person
