Residential HVAC Installer Helper *Position:* Residential HVAC Installer Helper *Department:* Residential Installation *Reports To:* Lead Installer / Installation Manager Job Summary Bellaire Air Conditioning & Heating, a family-owned company serving the Houston area since 1968, is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and motivated *Residential HVAC Installer Helper* with a minimum of *one year of hands-on HVAC experience*. The Installer Helper will work directly alongside experienced Lead Installers, assisting with residential HVAC system installations, equipment replacements, system modifications, ductwork design and installation, zoning systems, and major HVAC repairs. This position is ideal for someone who already has a basic understanding of residential HVAC systems and wants to continue developing their technical skills while learning from experienced professionals. *We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, shows up every day on time, communicates well, and is eager to learn and grow into a Lead Installer position.* Primary Responsibilities * Assist experienced Lead Installers with residential HVAC installations and equipment replacements. * Learn proper installation techniques, procedures, and industry best practices from experienced installers. * Assist with installing air conditioning systems, furnaces, evaporator coils, heat pumps, and related HVAC equipment. * Assist with residential ductwork design, fabrication, modifications, and installation. * Help install and modify residential zoning systems, including zone dampers, control panels, thermostats, and associated components. * Assist with major HVAC system repairs and equipment modifications. * Help install refrigerant piping, condensate drain lines, electrical connections, ventilation components, and other installation materials under appropriate supervision. * Assist with removing and properly disposing of existing HVAC equipment and materials. * Load and unload equipment, tools, and installation materials. * Keep installation trucks, tools, equipment, and jobsites clean, organized, and professional. * Follow all company installation procedures, safety standards, and quality expectations. * Take direction from the Lead Installer and complete assigned tasks efficiently and correctly. * Help ensure installations are completed on schedule and meet Bellaire Air Conditioning's workmanship standards. * Treat customers, their homes, and their property with respect. Minimum Qualifications * *Minimum of one year of residential HVAC installation or related hands-on HVAC experience required.* * Basic knowledge of residential heating and air conditioning systems. * *Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening, conducted in accordance with applicable laws.* * *Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain a Texas Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician Registration (TDLR Technician Card).* * *Must currently hold or be able to obtain EPA Section 608 Certification (EPA Card).* Certification must be obtained before performing any work requiring it. * Must own and maintain the basic hand tools required for HVAC installation work. * Must be dependable, responsible, and willing to work. * *Excellent attendance and punctuality are mandatory.* * Must report to work every scheduled day, on time, and prepared to work. * Must have a neat, clean, and professional appearance. * Good verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with customers, coworkers, and supervisors. * Ability to follow directions, accept constructive feedback, and work as part of a team. * Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities. * Ability to perform the essential physical duties of the position, including lifting equipment and working in attics and Houston's seasonal heat, with or without reasonable accommodation. * Must demonstrate safe working habits and respect for company equipment and customer property.
