HVAC Install Helper $24–$28/hour | Gloucester Point, VA Build Your HVAC Skills. Learn From Experienced Installers. Comfortable Climate Heating, AirPlumbing is expanding its installation team and looking for an HVAC Installation Technician Helper with some hands-on residential HVAC experience who is ready to take the next step in the trade. This is a learning opportunity for someone who has a foundation in HVAC and wants to become more confident and capable in residential installations. You'll work directly alongside experienced installers, assisting with equipment replacements, installation projects, and related work while developing the skills needed to take on greater responsibility. We're a locally owned company serving Hampton Roads, Williamsburg, and the Middle Peninsula. What You'll Do Work alongside experienced installers on residential HVAC replacements and installation projects Assist with installing air handlers, condensers, furnaces, heat pumps, and related equipment Help with ductwork installation, modifications, sheet metal work, and copper line set connections Gain hands-on exposure to brazing, soldering, equipment setup, and proper installation procedures Prepare job sites, organize materials, and ensure tools and equipment are ready for each project Protect customers' homes, maintain clean and organized work areas, and complete job cleanup Follow direction from lead installers, maintain company equipment, and progressively take on additional installation responsibilities What We're Looking For 1–2 years of HVAC experience is required, preferably in residential service or install Basic familiarity with residential heating and cooling equipment Some hands-on experience with HVAC tools, materials, or installation-related work An understanding of basic job-site safety and the expectations of working in customers' homes Dependable, motivated, and comfortable taking direction from experienced technicians Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and varying weather conditions. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a team-oriented attitude EPA certification, trade school, or additional HVAC training is a plus, but not required. We're looking for someone with some experience to build on, not someone who needs to learn the trade from scratch.
