Apprentice Carpenter

Austin Custom CNC is a custom millwork and CNC shop in Austin. We build commercial casework, retail and hospitality interiors, displays and one-off pieces. We're hiring an apprentice who wants to learn the trade in a working shop. You'll start as a helper at every station: sanding, edgebanding, assembly, loading and unloading, and cleanup. You'll go out on installs, and you'll learn to run the CNC routers step by step. Experienced carpenters will train you. We use AI tools for engineering and scheduling. If you're interested in where carpentry and software meet, this is a good place to learn both. *What we're looking for* * Shows up on time and wants to learn the trade * Some time with tools is a plus: a school shop, construction work, or building things at home * Comfortable using a phone and computer for work orders and photos * Able to lift 50 lb and stand for long periods * Reliable transportation. A driver's license is a plus. *Pay* Starts at $20 an hour and goes up based on experience. Reviews at two weeks and three months. *Schedule* Monday to Friday, daytime. Full-time or part-time.
